After working as a registered nurse in the open heart step-down unit and seeing the consequences of leading an unhealthy life, Katie Sarno re-focused her career path in 2013 and joined the WCORHA Wellness Team. As a Health Promotion Coordinator, Katie works to ensure that clients initiate and maintain effective Workplace Wellness Programs. She provides guidance and support to develop seamless and efficient programs. As a member of the Wellness Council of America, she also updates clients on the newest research and data about workplace wellness. Trained in diabetes prevention and a certified health coach, Katie’s expertise and talent help clients succeed as businesses and individuals.

Amber Hamill joined our team in 2008 as a registered nurse, who’d spent time in the clinical and corporate wellness industries. Amber has been essential in managing our Occupational Medicine clinic, where she provides quality services to our clients. She’s committed to building the knowledge and skills of area employers, so they can grow and sustain effective workplace health strategies. She truly enjoys building a culture of healthy living in the workforce. Amber is an active member of the Wellness Council of America, Healthy Ohio Business Council, Grand Lake Area Safety Council, and Ohio Association of Occupational Health Nurses. She also serves on various community coalitions to improve the health and wellness of our community.

Before entering the Occupational Health and Wellness field at Mercer Health, Misty Riley worked as a registered nurse in the hospital, oncology, and home health and hospice settings. There, it became very clear that disease prevention and early detection not only save lives, but enrich the quality of life. Misty is dedicated to this cause, and she feels very passionately about taking care of the whole person in order to live the best life possible.

Anne began her career with Van Wert County Hospital in 2005 as a member of the wellness staff. Today, she applies her 14+ years of health and wellness experience to help organizations create and nurture a culture of health. Anne has a bachelor’s degree in Sports Management, and she is a Certified Personal Trainer, a Lifestyle Coach, a health coach, and a tobacco treatment specialist. She is also a member of the Wellness Council of America and a chair for the Van Wert County Health Collaborative. Anne believes that by being proactive and focusing on the health of the individual, and by making simple changes in work environment and culture, we can make healthy easy!
